The Sacrament of Baptism is available for newborns, young children and for adults, the first step is to call the parish office (305-238-7562) and we will guide you through the process. The preparation for the sacrament depends on the age of the person being baptized.
Parents of children will meet with a Deacon and both the parents and the godparents will attend a baptism class.
The classes are presented in English on the third (3rd ) Thursday of each month and in Spanish on the second (2nd ) Thursday of each month; all classes are at 7:30 pm. Children older than five years will prepare for the sacrament by attending CCD classes. When you call the office we will tell you how to enroll your child in the CCD program or you may call the Religious Education Office (305-238-7562 ext. 300).
Baptisms for Spanish speaking parishioners may be scheduled on the first or third Saturday of each month. Baptisms for English speaking parishioners may be scheduled on any Sunday except on special holydays or holidays like Easter, Christmas, Mother's Day or Father's Day.
The preparation for adults who seek to enter our Catholic community through the sacrament of Baptism is our RCIA program.
